About Us

Ready Set Hire is a network of specialized employment agencies throughout Western Massachusetts whose mission is to provide local employers with a ready source of qualified employees. On average, partners in our network have more than 30 years of successful job development, placement and support experience with persons with developmental disabilities. As the largest source of work-ready, developmentally disabled individuals in the region, we are uniquely positioned to meet the human resource needs of employers with access to an underutilized, but highly qualified, labor pool.

Ready Set Hire currently has more than 500 individuals with developmental disabilities working in over 300 companies throughout the region.

Services

The network of partners who make up Ready Set Hire are able to provide employers with quality staffing solutions through experience and expertise in identifying the right person for the right job. Ready Set Hire can address any concerns prospective employers might have about hiring persons with disabilities and demonstrate why it makes good business sense to diversify your workforce with the inclusion of persons with disabilities.

Ready Set Hire offers the following services at no cost to employers:

Employee screening and assessment completed prior to the interview process and placement
Determining the training needs of an employee and providing assistance to the employee and/or employer if desired.
Short and long term support to the employee and/or employer through an array of job support interventions.
Consultation and technical assistance in a number of disability and employment areas including:
- Supervision and performance management
- Compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA)
- Assistance with reasonable accommodation
- Accessing tax credits
- Diversifying the work force
- Job modifications
- Disability friendly strategies for the workplace
- Perceived costs related to safety and health insurance premiums
